About project

The main purpose of the project titled OUR NATURAL AND CULTURAL WORLD HERITAGE is to draw the participants attention to the importance of  World Heritage in their countries and around the world while developing their basic life skills and competence such as reading, writing and improving language learning(mother tongue and foreign languages such as English) for their personal development, for future employment and for active European thinking and living.

After introducing  all the participating institutions and countries to each other children will collect, read, and write descriptions of Natural Heritage sights in their countries and will make presentations, guide books of them to the partners. They will do different kinds of creative art works related to this part of the heritage and then  pupils’ knowledge will be extended about the different appearances of Cultural Heritage.

The participants will realize that heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our Cultural and Natural Heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. World Heritage sites belong to all peoples of the world, irrespective of the territory on which they are located and we are all responsible for saving them. Pupils will also be encouraged to use ICT while cooperating with pupils from the partner institutions and they will suggest and vote on what  is worth to be a part of the World Heritage.

The result of the project will be a published  Shared Tourist Guide Book , consisting of two parts, Natural and Cultural World Heritage written and illustrated by the participants.  All the project works made by the participants ( posters, art works, descriptions,  questionnaires) will be displayed on the shared Comenius website.
